The professional staff at Buckley Landing includes:
- two registered nurses
a registered nurse is on-call 24 hours daily, seven days a week
- three licensed practical nurses
- 25 certified home health aides
- a recreational therapist
- a physical therapist (available as needed)
- an administrative staff of five, including a full-time administrator
- a dining service staff of 10, two housekeepers and two maintenance workers
The staff of 25 certified home health aides provides immediate care for Buckley Landing residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A registered nurse (RN) supervisor is on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Loretto’s Buckley Landing follows the New York State Department of Health standards for both its Enriched and Assisted Living Programs. Buckley Landing also maintains all other standards set by the New York State Department of Health, U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and New York State Division of Human Rights (NYSDHR), in addition to all applicable federal, state and local codes and regulations, including Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Employment.
Training & Continuing Education:
Buckley Landing employs certified home health aides who have completed the required New York State-approved certification program, as well as a mandatory enhanced training course through the Loretto Learning Center, in medication administration and assistance."
In addition, the home health aides at Buckley Landing are required to attend regular on-going training sessions to maintain their skills and knowledge. On-going trainings focus on eldercare specialty areas, such as nutrition, dementia, and palliative care to help identify warning signs and symptoms that may require additional or follow-up medical care.
